As you asked me over email, you were blocked because the IP address you were editing through was being used by a vandalbot that was creating several patent nonsense articles per second, and blocking him was the only effective recourse we had to stop him. However, since both of you have America Online as your ISP, and AOL uses proxy servers to forward their clients' page requests, in all likelihood you were using the same server and you were autoblocked from all editing (a preventive measure against vandalism). I've lifted the block since then, so you may resume editing normally.
