Finally Madao gets some good screentime. Lovely death note reference, and great horror at the end. Once again, I can easily say Gintama is brilliant in all genres.

The entire scene set in that room, beginning with a heartfelt exploration of robbed childhood innocence and the purpose of new homes, culminating in violence and bloodshed, is one of the best in Gintama, and maybe all of anime. Such brilliance brings me to tears.

It wasn't my favorite episode. The beginning was funny, as well as the Death Note reference, however I didn't understand the ending at all and it was completely random how it went from funny horror to scary horror in a matter of seconds. Weird.

Wasn't all that interesting. Had it's funny moment, but nothing that made me really laugh-out-loud like a lot of the other good episodes!!

Loved the Death Note reference, I guess I should have seen the horror coming. What I love about this series is I'll never know what random stunts they'll pull next!

I think it was a great episode :)

What I'm wondering is will it continue on the next episode or was that it?

They probably won't continue it, the episode seemed to end right there. (Sort of like an American cartoon, the characters will be back unharmed, etc.) It was just a gag episode anyways XD

LOL, the murder scene room that Hasegawa was looking forward to. They kept passing the keys on like the room was too good for them, and the horror scene at the end was creepy.

Lol with the Death Note parody but I didn't really liked this episode, it was kinda useless and it really had no story line... stupid ending too, we just had a whole arc about Stands -_-" But still, Gintoki was priceless =)

That was a pretty good episode, a lot of that old comedy. The next episode looks like it'll be really good because i saw Santa in the preview. If its anything like the last time Santa was part of Gintama it'll be great.

Damn it feels kinda different hearing Madao's voice.. before this episode, I watched ep. 36 of Bleach and Kenpachi's being a scary villain.. all serious and blood-thirsty but now he's here as one of the funniest dude in Gintama hahahah

That key passing scene was so damn hilarious! I nearly died.. that last scene though

I truly, truly, feel sorry for Hasegawa now. It's not funny anymore. Does anyone honestly think Hasegawa being constantly the unemployed, loser with not even a shelter above his head (all previous episodes he at least had shelter) is funny? Gintama is funny but this is the few I can't force myself to find funny. The other Hasegawa ones were funny. And yes I did get all the jokes, reference and build up to the final key passing gig.

There are millions of actual Hasegawas in Japan who have lost their jobs, their dignity and barely scraping by in a fiercely competitive society that has forgotten them. They live in homeless quarters and are always desperately trying to find side jobs to survive... Taking low paid exploitative jobs. And to rub salt into the wound, Gintama decides to mock the unfortunate, classy.

Hasegawa is a great guy, he's a very forgiving friend. I could never be friends with people that played in a part in sabotaging my comfy government job, pushing me to the limit before making that fatal decision that loses him his job and made him as good as dead in the eyes of the bakafu. If I was Hasegawa, I would curse Gintoki and devise a way to kill him before committing suicide. Hasegawa was much happier being another bureaucratic cog in the Bakufu. His friends always fk up every job he manages to take. Either the supermarket gig, or the sushi gig and a few others. Hasegawa has no dependable friends and his wife (and daughter?) left him.

Thank goodness this is probably a made up filler episode in the series.

OMG the LDK dog houses xD He didn't know what terms he should know meant!

Poor Hasegawa, resorting to nearly living in a murder house! what is this Scream Queens? lol.

The ending was so insane!!!

He had everything a hobo had too, dog, radio and box.

When they kept throwing the key to each other, that was so hilarious! no one wanted it, not too surprisingly.

The most hilarious and funniest comedy episode, I have seen in my life. I don't remember the last time when I laughed my guts out like the way I did while watching this episode. I laughed so much that my "Ketsu no Ana" started to ache.

The funniest part was when Madao's stray dog mimiced him. Also, the 1LDK was funny as hell. Of course, who don't know the Japanese for puppy (pronounced like One) won't get the gag.
