when i watched the dub, i heard someone say, "Yea! I'm gonna shoot myself when I get home! WOO!!!" when the bride and groom were walking down the aisle outside. may be just me, but my ears didn't lie.

This was great episode! Every part of it was so moving. I almost cried when Fuko starting talking about all the fun things she did with Tomoya and Nagisa in the end.
Miyuku said: I think I cried a little, I mean it was sad but just beautiful.
I wanna see Fuu-Chan definitly when she wakes up again otherwhise I will be missing something in the anime.
Yeah, I agree
I cried a bit at the ending of this episode TT_TT
It was beautiful and so touching
I loved this. I thought the arc was a bit boring but the ending totally made up for it. I don't really like Fuko but I couldn't stop crying throughout the entire episode. Especially when they woke up and couldn't remember her. I felt so sad then... And the ending of the episode was just beautifully made. I was really glad that everyone remembered that "that" were starfish.
This was a pretty emotional episode. So I guess this arc is finally over. It was beautifully executed and had a befitting ending. I'll miss that girl, but hey, there are a lot of other stories left to unfold. I will keep my head up and look forward to the next one.
I saw this on Netflix and decided to start watching. As my first post in any of these forums whatsoever, I have to say I cried so hard. I cried so, so hard. And I don't usually cry, nor do I feel the need to tell people I did but... damn.
Who would normally forget about seeing a ghost girl!? WTF!?
Even though I mostly forgot all those details (it's my second attempt at watching this... ehm... "masterpiece"), I still could predict when characters are going to cry. Like... Really - if the piano plays, than it's a good chance someone will start crying.
I totally cried buckets at this arc, I was so shocked at how touching Clannad is when I watched this first arc, I was like ZOMG I LOVE CLANNAD to all my friends

Same here, and I already watched it 4 times. This is my 5. re-watch ... :D
I'm on my first re-watch and this episode got to me again. I still think this is one of the best animes ever. I only wish there was more than there was..
Ah, now I'm starting to understand why this series has been recommended to me. I started the first episodes wondering how in the world I would ever find this series more interresting then for its comical values of namely sunohara. And usually if characters don't interrest me at all right off the bat then they wont unless they have to pull some spectacular developments.
In this case they didn't do any story-breaking character personality changes, yet I still found to be growing to liking the characters I started off disliking and even letting myself get dragged in the story beyond the comical factor, in fact the story has proven not to shy away from pulling the 'sadness strings' at all, usually when shows do this they tend to overdo it.. but not in clannad's case so far. Sort of felt like watching a high quality movie.
So I'm pleasently surprised so far that clannad managed to pull me into it.
It's as beautiful as it's confusing..
I mean.. Who would forget all those things..?
- And what does arc mean btw?
Dango dango dango dango dango dakazaku (:
This episode definitely got to me... It was indeed beautiful and well executed imo. The whole moe bit is kind of annoying but slowly im getting over it.

I loved it how Fu-chan tried to make Nagisa and Tomoya become closer to each other. The music was great again as well and I really can't think of anything this episode lacked. It was simply beautiful.
Indeed it seems Komoti's arc is up next. Can't wait.
It made me cry, does anyone what will happen to fuko?
Bittersweet ending in fact. It feels so sad that after all Nagisa and Tomoya did forget her in the end... I was hoping that the Fuuko arc will continue to the very end of this anime, but that seems not to be the case. I wonder if we'll ever hear again the background theme that was sounding now and then.
Well, that was decent, but it reminded me too much of a combination of two of the stories from Kanon:
Ayu (childish coma-ghost) and Makoto (adopted into a family, dies after deteriorating)
That's being slightly mean, though. Fuko's final moments on-screen made the storyline a good explication of the oft-heard concept that a dead or otherwise absent person would want the people they love to be happy rather than grief over them forever.
Pretty nice when they all played family haha. Knew it was gonna be the last episode in her arc, glad everyone remembered to gather for her sister's wedding. She even got to say goodbye to her sister! That was nice ... :3 Hmm, seems she didn't end up "waking up" or anything, but it kind of hints that everyone's waiting for it, even if they don't really remember ... :P
Next arc is Kotomi huh? Everyone's being a "bully" for her ... I wonder if we can get through all the girls though? I mean we're nearly halfway there and we've only had one arc really so far ... why can't you choose the girls I like to focus on OTL
Honestly, I never liked this arc. The plot was melodramatic and the characters were far too emotional.
But this was a spectacular finish to an arc that I never enjoyed. I have never been so teary eyed during an anime and this occurred during the middle of the series. If the quality if continues to stay at this high level, this anime definitely lives up to the hype I've been hearing about.
