Hello and allow me to introduce my furry self. The name is Fantôme Turntail but a lot of my friends just call me Rocky because I’m a Rock Wallaby, a Yellow footed Rock Wallaby to be precise though I get mistaken for a kangaroo all the time it’s an easy mistake to make and doesn’t bother me all that much. There will be much more of to come as my character evolves, I learn best from experience and prefer to discover new things by doing them, after all how can you know what’s worth doing if you never actually do it?
By and large I’m pretty much an introvert and often don’t see a reason for beating around the bush with social pleasantries or small talk. I’d rather people be upfront, honest and to the point. Unfortunately, this isn’t always socially acceptable so I tend to spend a lot of time with my own thoughts, perhaps that is why I have such weird ideas to explore. I’m not anti-social by any means; however, I just need a reason to interact. If you want to talk to me, just start talking. Don’t worry about being polite, just says what’s on your mind.

Fantôme got started many moons ago as a Bard/Shadow Dancer in a 3rd addition D&D game and was heavily inspired by the Phantom of the Opera, even wore a magical mask. I was never the strongest member of the party but it was fun to play a clever hero that makes do with what he has rather than a musclebound warrior that just smashes his way to fortune and glory or a power-hungry mage out to see just how much magic he can cram into one spell book.
Over the years I’ve tried to bring Fantôme back for other table top adventures but sadly most local gaming groups tend to be a bit snobbish and more focused on mini/maxing then actual role playing often to the point most game seasons quickly devolved into little more than an arms race with dice.
So instead when I first got into furry I made Fantôme my character and I chose a yellow footed rock wallaby because their cute and naturally stand out without having to go to weird extremes like glueing on wings or having a demonic ancestry. Being somewhat normal (normal being relative) also gives this character a flexibility to fit into almost any setting, she could just as easily be a street-side musician in a more realistic world as a magical minstrel in a fantasy world or even a musical super hero saving the world with the power of rock (that sounds pretty cool actually!).
Fantôme got attention and grew on me so I thought that I'd go ahead and use her name as my own. That's how it all go started.
