Fire could be considered the greediest of elements. It consumes all, leaving nothing in its impassioned, gluttonous wake. Perhaps that's why a gluttonous being such as Ascelin embodies it so well? A force of nature, unable to be stopped until its hunger is but only briefly sated. It will return, though. Dangerous, deadly, and oh-so achingly hungry once more.

I had this idea in my mind's eye for a bit and I'm so happy to see it come to fruition! The artist did amazing at encapsulating the sheer heat and natural power in this piece, I feel. To call dragons forces of nature, I think, is accurate. Ascelin is, of course, no exception. I really want to get some more fiery pieces with her because... destruction is fun BUT also pretty. So definitely in the future, I think. <3 I also love the expression she has here— after idly bathing in heat most mortal creatures would immediately combust in, she can't help but look down upon you as an ant, something so utterly beneath her. It's so incredibly fitting for her.

While volcano and fire are surely destructive and all consuming forces but for sure they are also the foundation of new beginnings
