Since it was Kagero's ( 
dagero ) birthday on the 12th, I put together this little mini-comic as a present! š
After getting caught by surprise last year, Kagero is on the defensive! He and Dee get into a cake fight, where he spots a giant PokƩ puff that Dee has made especially for smashing over Kagero. So, Kagero uses this as an opportunity to finally get the jump on Dee this time! Huzzah!
But after finally having gotten the jump on Dee, the blue demon starts behaving uncharacteristically-sensitive about the whole thingā¦ what's he talking aboutā¦?
Deeā¦? Whatā¦? But I'm not Deeā¦?!
Suddenly Kagero finds himself a lot bluer and lizardy than he last remembered, and he finds himself standing over himself, covered in cakeā¦ I'm not Dee I'm Kageroā¦?! What's going on hereā¦?!

This was a fun sequel idea I had in mind, and then awkwardly exported and re-composed it from Pixelmator into Asesprite for some fun GIF nonsense times. I hope I hid enough silly clues that someone got suspicious before the revealā¦ š

These tricks actually make me doubt my sanity for a moment when I run into them. :P
Oh, the tricks I could do with a bit of Javascript and some self-hosted pages! Heheā¦ stuff like swapping out images when scrolled out-of-viewā¦ animations triggering and being positioned out of the image boundariesā¦ all sorts of stuff like thatā¦ š
Unfortunately, apng / webp animation support is not as widespread as I'd like it to be, sadly š¢
i'm curious as to what exactly is going on here, was there a reality shift from how powerfully meant-for-kagero that puff was, or is there some mind play i'm not understanding going on?
Dee copied Kagero's mind into his own body, then added an illusion to make him think he was still in his normal body, and that regular-Kagero was Dee! š

that is needlessly complex and i love dee's trickery there finger smooch it's a masterpiece of pranking
i will admit, i had half-expected dee to somehow manage to make the puff reality-altering to be kagero-homing to the point that even in the case of this being what really happened instead of the mind trickery, it would've still ended up with dee success

This was pretty fantastic even before the trick, and that just solidified it as one of the best pieces ever.
I was so confused when I saw the photo change! I was like "wait, did something change here?!" I'm glad I saw it happen before I read the description. XD

Hmm but it sure does like to take its sweet time with changing, and when it's done it's back in an instant..
Yeah I went for a 30s delay to hopefully make sure people see it all before the surprise, then the last frame is on like a max duration of 65s or something.
You either die a hero, or live long enough to become the villain.
This was so cool! I thought I was going crazy for a moment because I just woke up. Thank goodness I realized that it was a trick. Nice job. X3
